Understand that the username you choose may be visible in both the restricted and free-access areas.  Therefore, choice of a username that includes Personally Identifiable Information (PII) will allow your information to be freely seen by anyone accessing these pages.

The user preferences allow other members to contact you via email, and personal message.  This option may be turned off via the user control panel.

Consistent with the Federal Children's Online Privacy Protection Act of 1998 (COPPA), we will never knowingly request personally identifiable information from anyone under the age of 13 without requesting parental consent.   However, once registered, you may, regardless of age, voluntarily submit additional information that may be considered PII such at birth date, instant messenger address, etc.  Submission of such information is purely voluntary and not required for use of the site.  This information is visible to other registered users.

The site allows you to submit free-form text as “posts” that are visible to registered and/or non-registered users.  Any information you post  will be immediately viewable.  There may be other methods of submission such as response to polls, surveys, the opt-in of newsletters or RSS feeds, or other similar methods.

Parents should understand that this site only requires the submission of an email address.  Choice of username, password, as well as the supply of other PII is the responsibility of the user (ie your child).  You should be aware that your child may make their PII available to others, but that this is not required or requested by this site.  Also understand that any information your child posts will be viewable by both members and non-members of the site.  Features of the site include the ability of your child to provide other information about themselves that would allow other members to contact your child by email, private message (a site-contained messaging system similar to email), instant messenger.  These features are controlled in the User Control Panel.  Use of site features is not restricted by age.  The site does not restrict your child’s ability to access the User Control Panel where they can supply this information.  It is your responsibility as a parent to monitor this activity as it is not restricted by this site.

This site may also collect other information such as, but not limited to, information contained in server logs, your IP address, cookie information, search terms, post count, and tallied page views.   We do not share any PII with any 3rd party except:

When we use tracking information to determine which areas of our sites users like and don't like based on traffic to those areas. We do not track what individual users read, but rather how well each page performs overall. This helps us continue to build a better service for you. We track search terms entered in Search function as one of many measures of what interests our users. But we don't track which terms a particular user enters.

KINZGURU.COM may create aggregate reports on user demographics and traffic patterns for advertisers, sponsors and partners. This allows our advertisers to advertise more effectively, and allows our users to receive advertisements that are pertinent to their needs. Because we don't track the usage patterns of individual users, an advertiser or sponsor will never know that a specific user clicked their ad. We will not disclose any information about any individual user except to comply with applicable law or valid legal process or to protect the personal safety of our users or the public.

KINZGURU.COM uses the above-described information to tailor our content to suit your needs and help our advertisers better understand our audience's demographics. This is essential to keeping our service free.
